History of the Organization

Before the establishment of the Kasangga Arnis Team, the RRMCES-1 School Police Unit Organization has already started training Basic Arnis in the Year 2008. Selected High ranking officials of the SPU were trained Arnis de Mano as form of self-defense. The training was strictly classified, thus only the most discipline students were trained.

When Arnis was declared as the new Philippines' National Sport as per accordance to RA #9850, the School Police Unit Organization made Arnis Training open to all members of the Organization December 2009. The above video clip was one of the recorded training of the organization.

On 2010, it was declared that Arnis Elementary shall be included during the 2011 Palarong Pambansa. Due to this, the Kasangga Arnis Team was established. This marks the First Sports Arnis Training in our School. Most members of the team were members of the School Police Unit Organization.

Presently, Kasangga Arnis Team is still on its Phase 1. Students Leaders were being trained while helping and mentoring other members.

The Kasangga Arnis Team is not just an organization. We aim to provide Family-like Environment for the members of this organization. We believe that by training children in the art of stick fighting, we can develop their discipline, leadership and self-confidence.
